Perhaps because of illegal buildings that were okay with the old government, but they couldn't figure out where to pay the "protection money" to the new soldiers?

Yes they cited encroachment...but why stop where they did instead of carrying on all the way along the road..it seems to be a selective enforcement of the rules.

the Govt. demolition implementation stopped following the passing of HRH although negotiations of course were ongoing.  Most business owners on the beach are now feeling greatly  relieved I hear.  Only one bar/restaurant (the extremely popular one) appears to still have major problems.
