U.S., Israeli and 7 Arab military chiefs met in Germany on Iran

I am not surprised that this did not get a mention, since it goes against the messaging that is widely dsseminated. Axios first broke the story, which was then confirmed by multiple participants. CENTCOM "secretly" convened military chiefs from Israel, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Jordan and Egypt in Germany last week for an Iran strategy session.

It was a remarkable meeting that was attended by senior commanders from all of the participants. IDF Chief of Staff Gen. Eyal Zamir briefed the participants on IDF operations on various fronts. Imagine that, the Israelis were briefing the Arabs on the activities of the IDF. The Israelis met seperately with the Saudis to discuss shared intelligence activity to support Saudi actions in the region.

The participation of Egypt was telling and its presence sent a very strong message to Turkiye, which was not invited. Turkiye fancies itself as the defacto leader of the region. It still doesn't get it that the Arabs do not hold warm sentiments for the Ottoman colonial occupation that left a legacy of broken borders and cultural damage.

The Gulf Arabs are a lot smarter and pragmatic than some westerners believe.
