Need to do an extension in Penang. Is the routine: put in application morning of day 1 and collect afternoon of day 2 ?

Is this routine the same at all Thai emabassies/consuls ?

Also, can another applicant collect your passport for you on day 2 ? (Heard this somewhere.)

Apply morning and pick up afternoon of next workday is normal and how it works in Penang. Agents can take care of application and pick up at a nominal cost (about the same as taxi fare). Believe they would provide to anyone having the receipt and appearing to be of the nationality of passport but might have heartburn if appeared to be a non agent local.

When you get to your guest house - just tell them you need a visa and they will handle all the paper work and 'agent' delivery. Agent fee is about 120-150 baht

That\s 12 to 15 dollars Ringit.
