Road accident injuries top list of emergency health issues reported to 1669 hotline

Road-accident injuries rank top in the list of health problems among working-age citizens between 20 and 60 years old, according to the number of calls for help made to the National Institute for Emergency Medicine (NIEM) hotline 1669 since May 1 last year.

Pattaya hotel employee arrested for alleged theft of gold jewellery worth Bt2 million

Workers seek Bt400 minimum wage and price controls across country: poll

A MAJORITY OF Thai workers want the minimum daily wage set at a flat rate of Bt400 once the new government is in place. But, fearing a hike in prices of necessities because of the move, they also called for price controls, a recent survey by Bangkok Poll revealed yesterday.

GOOD SAMARITAN : Quick-thinking bus passenger helps police arrest phone thief

Environment minister calls for fresh mindset to tackle new challenges in conservation work

Latest gaffe has further eroded public trust in Election Commission’s ability to deliver fair result 

 

In yet another blow to its credibility, the Election Commission (EC) conducted a recount in Nakhon Pathom on Sunday only to deliver the wrong result. It seems the more the EC counts, the more confused the public becomes over the result of the election. After a series of such irregularities and mistakes, no one can be sure whether results in other constituencies are accurate.

Thai private sector lowers 2019 export growth projection to 2.1%

The Thai Chamber of Commerce and Board of Trade have reduced Thailand’s 2019 export growth projection from 3.1% to 2.1% citing several unfavorable external factors. Meanwhile, the External Trade Promotion Department maintains its 8% export growth forecast.

UTCC forecasts 3.8% economic growth this year
