MarkyM3
Hi, Is it OK to store these in a refridgerator (say the salad tray area, which is the least cold part of the fridge), given the current heat is definitely exceeding the "room temperature" storage conditions specified on the meds? They also say don't keep refridgerated but surely that's the lesser of 2 evils? The Apcalis 20 I picked up a few weeks ago from a chemist on Sukhumvit Rd seems way less effective than the 10mg generic tadalafil I bought over from the UK and used in the first week here. Wondering if it's gone off in the heat. No reason to believe the Apcalis is fake - packaging is fine. TIA
BritManToo
Do you think the pharmacy is air-conditioned after it's closed for the night? Or the factory in India, or the delivery van?
MarkyM3
The tadalafil made in the UK is not exposed to 30c+ temperatures - which is the absolute maxiumum storage temperature quoted for it - during manufacture or storage (unless there's a serious heatwave) so the heat issue is null for that stuff. I consumed that within a week or so of arriving here. As for the Apcalis 20 - your points are valid. But I've noticed a difference, in that it's nowhere near as effective despite being twice as strong as the UK variety. So either it's not legit (it looks OK to me and was bought on the main Sukhumvit drag from a large pharmacy) or alternatively, I am questioning whether the heat has caused it to lose potency (literally!). The manufacturer guidelines say not to refridgerate, hence my question to anyone using it here. I take it you don't bother? I will bring UK supplies next time and try refridgerating some of it unless someone can give me a good reason not to.
scubascuba3
Also factor in that you could be losing interest somewhat. They aren't equally effective every time based on lets say surroundings

Was using the UK 10mg tablets, cutting in half and therefore taking 5mg daily, great morning wood every day. Not so with the Apcalis. I'm back in the UK in a week's time for a while so will re-stock with the 5mg daily tablets (approx £30/month) and see what the score is. As I say, I think I'm going to try and refridgerate from now on as I suspect it's probably less problematic than storing stuff in the kind of extreme temperatures we have in Thailand currently. I'm in an aircon apartment but I don't want it on all the time and it's not on when I'm not there obviously so the temperatures must be getting above the 30c for extended periods of time I suspect. Sheryl
I keep all meds in the fridge in the hot season. Only time I would not is if in a place with a/c on round the clock.Sent from my SM-J701F using Thailand Forum - Thaivisa mobile app

It's possible its fake. Stick to Fascino which is a big chain of pharmacies. I don't use the stuff anymore but a couple years ago i had a tin of Black Ant Kings and they didn't work at all, a bad batch, after that i bought Sidegra from Fascino

uhuh
The same problems with Apcalis from a large pharmacy on the main Sukhumvit drag have been noted by other people. However, tadalafil is quite resistant to heat and does not lose its efficacy even in one or two years of storage in Bangkok temperatures.

I think only Fish oil can be kept in the fridge and a small amount of others.
Sheryl
I keep it all inc vits. No problems and based on appearance seem to last well. Not in freezer or coler compartments of course.Sent from my SM-J701F using Thailand Forum - Thaivisa mobile app
