Has anyone applied for a Thai Police Clearance certificate from the UK?

I need to apply for one and wanted to confirm if the application is sent to Royal Thai Police in Bangkok and what kind of turnaround would I be looking at?

Thanks.

Don't know if it can be done from the UK but the turn around time is 2 weeks in Bangkok. Its Special Branch Police in Bangkok. They take your fingerprints for the certificate to check it against their database. I have never received a certificate without fingerprints. So I doubt you can do it from the UK.

I got one last month, took about two weeks to a UK address (online application). Not sure if they send to Thailand, or if you'd need someone to post it on for you.

You need to read the OP again. He wants a police clearance for Thailand not the UK.

I did it a long while ago, 10 years. In the UK I applied for a police clearance to show I was not wanted for anything in the UK. It took six weeks at my local police station. The immigration people didn't even look at it, nor did they look at the medical I had either. Just show 'em the money.

I did this from New Zealand. Had to go to in to a New Zealand police station, get fingerprinted on official police fingerprint New Zealand Police fingerprint forms, send them to Thailand and wait for the police clearance certificate to come back. Can't remember exactly how long it took, but it was something like 3 weeks in total if I recall right.

I have had clearance from the UK for jobs I have been in. It costs, for a turn around of 2 weeks, around 90 pounds, or standard service takes up to 6 weeks at around 48 pounds
