Hi...wonder if any members can point me in the right direction....I want to buy a couple of construction hand tools but not just the normal ones you see at the local hardware stores. What Im after is: a full size bricklayers trowel ( not just the small pointing trowels you see everywhere).....also a decent brick hammer......and a wide masons chisel for cutting blocks etc ( only able to find the same sort of chisel, which is the thin narrow one) . Have looked in Homepro, no joy....I live in the Banglamung/Pattaya area.......many thanks in advance

Also several showing up on eBay with the sellers in China or HK, so the shipping will be free or low.  When I need something specific I don't even bother driving around as I know it won't be worth my time - even when I'm pretty sure HomePro will have it.  Order it online and be done with it.

The old Brit who laid our work shed blocks had his friend bring over a trowel and line corners as I could not find exactly what he requested here. Good bricklayers are fussy about tools.

 

The blade is 300mm long locals think its a joke.

 

That looks like something you could get machined.  A flat, roughly diamond-shaped blade with a simple handle welded on.  Lots of Thai woodworkers make knife handles, so I'm sure they could make a handle for this.

Do not think you find it in Thailand, they use mostly small flimsy things here. Same with a proper hammer, preferably buy it in Europe.
