A freight train travelling from Hua Takhe to Laem Chabang derailed in Chonburi on Friday afternoon, with three cargo wagons overturning beside the track. No injuries or deaths were reported after the incident near the Nong Khang Khok railway crossing in Moo 1, Nong Khang Khok subdistrict, Mueang Chonburi district, on 4 September 2026. Police at Mueang Chonburi station were alerted at about 3pm and went to the scene with relevant agencies. They found three freight wagons off the rails and overturned alongside the railway line. Recovery work under way Officials are working with other agencies to inspect the site, recover the overturned wagons and clear the railway line so services can resume as soon as possible.
