My mate has now oberstayed. +90 days on a non o based on marraige from Savan. Is there any way for him to stay in country. He has a house in BKK and Maha Sarakamp. UK citizen. 65yrs old and 10yr old son with thai wife.

 

Any help would be great.

Your friend may find a lawyer who says he 'knows someone' in Immigration, but it will cost a lot and there's no guarantee at the end of it. Best legal course is to head for an international airport with 20k Baht and a ticket to elsewhere in the World in hand, and prepared for a one-year ban.

He is an idiot. There are supposedly fixers that (for a price) can resolve such problems for most nationalities if it is done before the authorities become aware. You will not get details on this (except if you are lucky by PM) because it is against forum policy to assist in illegal circumvention of immigration rules.

Fly out of country. Pay 20k at airport.

Re start process after any ban if imposed. Do now rather than later.

Clarify.

Did he have a single entry O and has overstayed or

Did he get a multi entry and didn't do an out/in or

Did he get an extension of stay and missed a 90 day report?

May I ask why ? He just forgot it? Surely he should know the rules by now. 

Why oh why let it get past the 90 day mark where a ban is mandated. If he turns himself in, a one year ban, if he gets caught, 5 years. To be forced to leave a wife and child for this 'laziness' or 'oversight' or whatever reason is bad for them.
