Serial pick-pocket who preyed on tourists at floating markets Cap: Thieving on tour Crime Suppression Division police swooped on a temple in Saraburi and arrested a woman who was part of a dozen member gang preying on tourists at floating markets in Samut Songkhram last year. Patchara, 46, had been traced to the temple of Wat Charoentham where she was a market trader. She admitted to three previous offences and said she got out of jail most recently in March 2018. She was one of a dozen people in a pick-pocket gang who stole 100,000 baht worth of goods from tourists at Amphawa and Damnoen Saduak floating markets on May 26th last year. Four have now been arrested - eight remain at large. The long arm of the law doesn't quite reach from the US to Saraburi.
