thainet
Some of these threads are getting so long, that relevant information is lost. So I'm starting this thread only 'Jomtien/Chonburi Immigration Office' and for 'Marriage Extensions' using the 400k method only. I did my extension today, using the 400k in Bank method. As always with a 'Marriage Extension' back in 30 days for the stamp (extra 11 months). Lots of paperwork of course, but take it with a smile. In and out in 35 minutes. I will post a list of what is required later, but for now 3 pieces of information. 1) Health Insurance was not mentioned. 2) Also not mentioned was having to keep a certain amount in the Bank for 'x' months. 3) Even though I previously had many years on a 'Marriage Extension" (I was working), I reverted back to a 'Retirement Extension' last year. So today it was basically my first application for a 'Marriage Extension' (needed as I will be working again). Therefore the mandatory home visit by the immigration check team will occur in a few days (this is only first application, so next year this will not be required). List of requirements coming tonight. Cheers Thainet. Edited May 23, 2019 by thainet

Don't really understand your post, but I presume its about their requests for so much paperwork and silly procedures. If thats it, then I agree, but nothing we can do, so I just go with the flow and smile. One big note. I left Immigration at 1.40pm today. At 3pm the Checker team guy called my wife and they were here at our home at 4.15pm...stayed for coffee and left with a smile, so that's pretty damn good service. So I'm good to go for another year...then we can see what next year renewal brings. All in all a satisfactory day.
