2019 top quality OTOP products selection process starts

 

   

BANGKOK (NNT) - Some 20,000 entrepreneurs have been awarded with 4-star and 5-star OTOP product certifications from the provincial top OTOP product selection campaign this year. These products will be selected again at the national level on 24 May - 2 June this year.

 

The Community Development Department (CDD) Director General Nisit Jansomwong revealed the department’s campaign to select top OTOP products at the provincial level this year has awarded 4-5 stars certification to some 20,000 OTOP entrepreneurs across the country after the registration on 10-17 May. These products awarded at the provincial level will be selected again for the top national OTOP products at the event from 24 May to 2 June 2018 at Tor Yod Market AEC Trade Center in Ayutthaya.

 

Entrepreneurs submitting their products for election must be a registered OTOP product manufacturer who register from 2014 to 30 September 2018. Products submitted for election must have at least one legal product standard certification prior to the application date.

 

The products will then be considered for three criteria, namely the representation of community strength, marketing and product story, and product quality. A national product selection panel comprising of 400 persons from specialized agencies will be evaluating and scoring each product. The result from the first selection round for products not pending further assessment will be announced on 10 June 2019, prior to the second round of announcement on 25 June 2019.
