Apologies if this should be posted elsewhere.

I,m guessing this may be of use to all on Ret. Visa status.

If someone dies who is unattached in Thailand, what arrangements need to be put in place to allow relatives back home to recover any funds in your account please ?

Assuming

(1) the deceased left instructions ect.

(2) they had left no instructions, in many cases i feel this is the possible scenario and in which case would the money go to the state ( someone elses benevolent fund ) Ahemmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

How difficult is is to reclaim the monies and has anyone had any experience of someone who passed on regarding this situation.

What are the legal implications, would the Embassy of your country get involved, ( in my case the U.K. ) and what sort of fees might be recovered from it.

Thank you in advance.
