Non-imm B - Malaysia Options?

Featured Replies

I've already been in TL for several months and need to get a Non-Imm B.

From past posts, my understanding is that Penang & Kota Bharu are the best options. What is the latest info on this process?

Have a company & stable business, but no one I've talked to so far seems to know details.

What papers will be needed, and what's the current situation in the consulates?

Am I better off emailing them to find out?

Have about two weeks to get this sorted before my current visa expires.

Thanks in advance.

Take original and copies of your company papers, taxes paid, and a letter requesting issuance of the required visa. Do you have a work permit ?

Do you have a work permit ?

Negative, Doc. That's also on the list. Does the application have to be concurrent?

I've heard mixed reports on this issue.

The Consulate may get the impression that you are seeking a multiple entry visa to avoid work permit requirements, so underscore that you are still in the early formative stages and you need to travel in the region often.

How about going to Penang v. Kota Bharu...

Is one better than the other?

I live on the eastern seaboard, so KB should be a cheaper run, travel-wise, no?

Penang is the bigger Consulate, but there really shouldn't be much difference. Remember to dress well etc. Even post a question up on the board and ask people with actual experience.
