21st May 2019 - Power cut

Featured Replies

Hi Thai Visa friends,

I was hoping for some advice. On the 21st of May, there was about a 30-minute power cut at about 4.40pm. I can't find any information to prove this happened, I should have been logging into work but was unable to log on and therefore will receive additional fines.  My problem is I will be severely financially penalized unless I can prove this happened. Surely there must be some information that shows we had a power cut on this day.

I have tried the Thailand electricity board but with no results. Anyone have any other suggestions to help me. I would really appreciate some support with this.

So my main point is how do I find access to power outages in Chiang Mai?

Kind Regards

Janine

Why not use a cell phone based internet connection? Alternative system needed if financial penalty large.

Power outages are local, not same for all CM, you need to refer to your specific location and contact egat.

I have evidence. On the 21st that was the time the hurricane ripped thro my village along the river making headline news with some outlets as tgere were injuries caused by a tree that crashed on the temple.

I was out next morning looking at the damage of uprooted trees, power lines down walls down.

Electric company and cable companies were out next morning trying to repair. Road was even shut to let them work.

Pm me I have loads of photos, but check the story on the injuries when the tree blew over. The crater it left looked like a bomb had dropped.

The market there is monday and thursday, this happened at the same time on the tuesday, very lucky there was no market.

Sounds like a Mike & Meg sort of problem. Prevent it in the future by having a back-up Hotspot on your phone, and a laptop computer. I've needed to do that on several occasions, and used the phone's Hotspot to connect my laptop to the Internet. Works like a charm. That won't help you out of this no-show, but will prevent future ones from the power failures coming along with the Rainy Season.

You can have the informations you ask with this PEA App
