June 1, 20197 yr Popular Post Thai wife and i did it on 7 May 2019. Copy of my pas port, I have a new passport so i copy every page. The Visa formular. http://www.thaiembassy.org/hanoi/contents/files/services-20130917-161113-233830.pdf The ask me to put wife name and adresse on it as Local Guarantor. Copy of wife Id Card, Passport, House book. Copy of her married paper. Copy of the paper from her adding my last name to hers. We have this copy with us, As the 5 Married-Extension we did in Thailand. Immigration all ways want this. A letter she wrote to ask them to give me a Visa to come and stay with her. (Thanks @JackThompson) I was told in a other post i made, From @ubonjoe "If you apply for a non-o visa based upon marriage without financial proof." This turn out to not be correct, They ask for income letter, Bank statement or money in the bank. I first show them the new document that i get a social pension from my pension company that the Danish Embassy have stamp. And writing the words "Document confirmed genuine" This was turn down as not a income letter. Then i show them 5 month bank statement and that was okay. In the wait time there i hear everyone at the 2 counter get ask for proof of income. So if it was me, I bring document to show you have income, Money in the bank. Kindly.
June 1, 20197 yr Vientiane, Laos is now asking for a bank statement for Non-Imm O visas to visit Thai family. • A bank statement (for Multiple-Entry visa, an applicant should show at least 6 months of bank statement with at least 100,000 baht or that equivalent in other currencies) https://thaivisavientiane.com/
June 1, 20197 yr These bank statements. Can they be from your home country bank or does it have to be a Thai bank ?

The above is the first post I have see of them asking for financial proof. They might of been wanting to see the basic 20k baht income proof needed for all visa applications. If actually asked for it a statement from your home country bank would be accepted.

It is a copy and paste from another site. On their main website they do not mention financial proof. See: http://vientiane.thaiembassy.org/upload/pdf/Visa/Non- ED & O.pdf FYI they only issue single entry visas.

I also have not heard of financials being requested before but should your closing sentence read : If actually asked , a statement from your home country bank would be accepted.
