BANGKOK (Reuters) - Chinese telecom giant Huawei Technologies battled back against consumer worries at a major smartphone expo in Thailand over the weekend, bringing in an army of salespeople to fight perceptions that a U.S. blacklist would hobble its phones.

AOT opens bids for commercial areas in three airports

AOT Plc will finalise the winner of the bidding process to manage the commercial areas at three airports – Phuket, Chiang Mai and Had Yai – on June 10 when they bought the auction envelopes document by interested firms last month, senior executive vice president Wichai Bunyu said recently.

Relief for forest dwellers

Villagers from Phrae’s Wang Chin district cross provincial border to collect mushrooms from the Mae Wa National Park in Lampang’s Thoen district on Sunday. The new law, which will take effect in about six months, will ban such activities.

 

New law allows use of resources without the fear of being accused of encroachment

 

UNDER the new National Parks Act, local communities may stay in a forest reserve and use its renewable resources.
