90 day online report with new passport.

Featured Replies

One for Ubonjoe I expect.

I have just tried to do my online report after changing to a new passport. I am well within the time limit to do so.

Is it because it's a new passport that is isn't being accepted ?

I was away last week for a couple of days within Thailand but have never yet reported when returning to Bangkok,

Many thanks.

You will not be able to do a online report until you use your new passport it to enter the country.

The database the system accesses is generated from entries to the country.

Can also be done by post, or a third-party can do it for you.

Seen a post where this service was 250 baht.

Would be ideal to have a valid TM30 on file.

I'm still not clear what re-sets a new passport for successful 90 day reporting?

  - a re-entry?

  - any successful 90 day report (in person, post)?

  - some other activity (ies)?

Only a doing a entry with a new passport updates the database accesses at page one after completing it.

I was told that by immigration shortly after online reporting became available. They advised me to do a border hop if wanted to use online reporting.

Where would you advise to be the easiest place to do a border hop ?

The depends upon where your are living. They told me to do border hop since there is one to Laos nearby. Never did it though.

From Bangkok I would suggest the Ban Phu Nam Ron crossing in Kanchanaburi to Myanmar. No need for visa there since you get a border pass. Or one of crossings to Cambodia other than Aran/Poi Pet.

You could do a same-day turn on FD, DMK-PNH-DMK for ~ 2,500 THB, but probably not enough time to turn on the same metal, so may take the better part of the day.

Thanks for the reply. Just a quick question now I have to go to Chaeng Wattana, how long before the due date can I go ?

My next report date is 12th of June and am planning to go tomorrow the 6th.

So a week before. Is that OK ?

You can do your 90 day report up to 15 day before the report date or 7 days after including the report date  in the count.

So 1 week is certainly not a problem.
