BANGKOK, 8 June 2019(NNT)-The Prime Minister has expressed his concerns about the general public’s health, and traffic issues in the rainy season, directing all agencies to alleviate hardship.

The Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha called upon the general public to take care of their health during the rainy season, with public healthcare facilities all prepared to provide medical assistance to patients. In addition, the government has directed the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration to implement measures mitigating traffic congestion and flooding from rainwater. Road users are urged to obey traffic regulations and be considerate of others. Other provinces are asked to survey and manage their water drainage networks to prevent flooding.

On farm product pricing, the Prime Minister said he has been following the matter closely as it is directly related to the livelihood of farmers. The pricing of oil palm kernals and raw rubber have risen, with Talai palm fruit being sold at 3.05 baht per kilogram due to the government’s measures to reduce in-stock palm oil and achieve a higher palm oil price, while the third-class smoked rubber sheets are being sold at 57.7 baht per kilogram. These changes resulted from the government’s continuous measures to solve issues and mitigate hardships among farmers.

Public is also concerned about PM's health.

The Thai version of the American "Thoughts and Prayers". With the same effectiveness in reducing the dangers and fatal outcomes.

Did he go as far as recommending to use an umbrella, and if so, which color?

He gave them 3 months last year------what happened about that?

Its easy to say that he is concerned, but he does nothing about solving the problems.

However, the issues regarding traffic, would be very easy to fix.

On the contrary. This issue can't be solved until the 'gray matter' in their brains change. This will take at least two generations.

The same concern he had with the recent lethal smog and by the way grass blowers were ineffective in blowing it away.

And like the rain it will be back next year.

I think the leaf blower could be used to blow the rain away, as it was successfully used in the smog prevention campaign.

Perhaps he should re-introduce the popular Tiffy to the locals.

Notice that lung destroying PM 2.5 is off the radar.  Now worried about morons who can't drive in the rain.

Both are solvable problems - either will be solved.
