Sell us your books!

I didn't want to turn this thread into an advertisement for my bookshops. I just wanted to expain the reason for the prices in Thailand, however, it has kind of turned into one, so I just wanted to mention that we usually pay WAY more for books than the shops in Bangkok. Apparently they have so many people selling them books that they can pay a pittance for just about everything, but in Chiang Mai we need special books and are willing to pay for them.

We pay very well for newly published books by popular authors or older books by trendy authors like Zadie Smith, Murakami or Tom Robbins, good books on Thailand, South East Asia, History, Philosophy, Psychology, Popular Science and such stuff.

As far as older John Grisham/ Clancy/ Patricia Cornwell type books, I don't need them as I have thousands of them in stock, but I will buy them if they are very cheap for my bargain sections.

The Dan Sai Kid Today, 2007-03-12 20:07:23 Post #55

UG, out of interest, do you have any books on pregnancy? The Dan Sai Wife is expecting a Dan Sai Baby!

Yes, I think that we have several and some about the first year of having a baby as well.

I have to ask the staff where they are because we have so many stores, but I bought some recently and am pretty sure that we still have them.

Soon, I'll just be able to check the data-base and will know exactly where they are! :o

Rather, you will be sweating over the loss of hard drives, blown graphics cards and Blue Screens of Deaths... and when it works (which it will, occasionally) you will notice how many books mysteriously disappear. Welcome to the digital age. :D
