On World Tours Do Bands Play Bkk?

Hi living in Phuket and about the only thing (apart from a pint of bitter) I will miss is going to gigs.

Do bands on a world tour play the capital and if so where would I be able to keep tabs on this or updates eg does the venue(s) have a website ?

Thanks

Mike

The other thing is that western bands very rarely sell out. A while back Oasis played at a half-empty arena - something that would be unthinkable in the UK!

If you are into F4 or Rain then I don't fancy your chances!

Not too much. A lot of potential, unfortunate the thai public isn't educated enough for western bands and stuff. 50 Cent had a huge succes last yeaf, though. :o

So, because the Thai general public doesn't share western musical tastes, there must be something wrong with them. Thanks for clearing that up with some insightful, provocative analysis...

I read through that event calendar and didn't see one musical event for the year. Only Furniture expos and the like...

Bands that omit touring Thailand should be mindful that they are insulting the nation and the national people of a proud nation.

They can expect a quid for quo by way of lower CD sales (especially bootlegged ones)

Which is probably why they are not touring in Thailand. Why go play in a country where their CDs are not selling.

Would you?

Plus the purpose of a tour is to make money, after afew shows with no audiences, bands stop coming. Why play to an empty stadium?

Check out Pollstar.com

It used to be a better site but still has it's uses.

you can search for tours Via artist or Venue.

BKK showed up no results. Singapore Got a few hits and so did HK.

nothing really exciting coming up but check back periodically as it does get updated closer to event dates.
