Pheu Thai warns Prayut not to skip House meetings

Pheu Thai Party spokeswoman Ladawan Wongsriwong on Saturday warned Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha not to skip House meetings or else he would be strongly reprimanded by MPs.

 

Ladawan said Prayut, the leader of the 2014 coup, must attend House meetings every week and cannot skip meetings by claiming he is busy. She said Prayut should not try to come up with an excuse just because he does not want to listen to criticism from MPs.

 

The spokeswoman said it is expected that Prayut would occasionally be grilled by the people’s representatives in the House because he has won the post of prime minister ungraciously through support of 250 senators appointed by the junta.

 

Prayut is known to have difficulty in controlling his anger and observers believe he will be tested to his limit by opposition MPs.

 

Ladawan said Prayut should study an example of Gen Kriangsak Chamanan, the secretary general of the October 6, 1976, coup maker. Kriangsak became the prime minister in 1979 on a slim majority coalition government.

 

Ladawan said Kriangsak did not attend a House meeting and Social Action Party leader MR Kukrit Pramote strongly reprimanded him, telling the House speaker to drag him into the meeting room.

 

Now that Prayut has become the prime minister of an elected government, he can no longer enjoy speaking for himself as he did during his weekly TV programme for four years, Ladawan added.

How do you warn an omnipotent being with a direct line to God without incurring his wrath?

He will always be too busy with important work to attend so there is no chance he will be dancing to Pheu Thais tune any time soon.

Would have about the same effect as when my teacher told us to not make spit balls out of paper. I am sure he is shivering down to the bone with pure fear. Maybe he will miss a couple of meeting just because of that. Now it became Ladawan´s fault, right?

Most know who and what he is,  his supporters will blame the opposition if they rattle him.

Sadly, he is in that position until the next coup or next election (which may never be called).  If after 5 years the populace does not know what he is like they haven't been paying attention.

Quite funny they should say this when Yingluck's non attendance at house meetings was a tactic.

To top off the insult...it was a lady MP laying down the law to the missing PM...lol   ????

I'm sure he will attend every meeting. He just seems to be cut out for it!

Pheu Thai party forgot so easily that their previous PM hardly attend any House meetings! LOL

 

Why should he need to turn up? He will be ruling by Article 44, albeit perhaps in a "democratic guise"!

????

Were these cut outs made by the same people as the people who made the Thai women's football team ones that were put out against the USA ?

Doubt he could even run a Boy Scouts camp fire sing-along, let alone an pretend military game and even less Thailand.... looks like fun and games coming up shortly. 

I wonder if, and how he will respond to being the leader of a "democratically elected" government. This guy is not used to being told what to do, except by the guys who put him in this position. He can handle it from them. But, from the opposition party? Expect a coup in the house!

 

I have no idea if he was an effective general, nor what it takes to do so. Not like he has been challenged with overseas conflicts, where he needed to show his military acumen. In the past five years he has demonstrated how incredibly inept, incompetent, non visionary, and hapless a leader he is. Hopefully, he will be taken to task for his continued astonishing levels of incompetency.

hahahaha, this after yingluck missed  nearly all of them to go on shopping sprees but in reality because she was too stupid to be able to do anything without being told by BB, goes to show ho they are all hypocrites 

They will try to irk and bug him as much as possible. I really hope this is a fun year to watch him drown in the house.

He could always go on visits to other countries, shopping, or just not bother turning up and answering any questions. Just like Yingluck used to do!

Indeed. They are stupid enough to think no one remembers the always absent Yingluck and to believe they are some how relevant and that the government give a toss what they demand.

 

Wonder how much monthly salary their boss pays them to be in opposition and if it's the same as when they were employed in his mock government?

Yes, but there was a coup. We were promised carry on like this would end. You can’t justify everything bad this government do by saying the previous one were no better. That was the point of the coup, no?
