Why not? I know many lawyers who have advanced in their careers and have a strong dislike of the junta and what happened in the recent farce, sometimes referred to as an election. The vast majority of law graduates do not join the judiciary.

The judiciary (also known as the judicial system, judicature, judicial branch or court system) is the system of courts that interprets and applies the law in a country, state or an international community.

The vast majority of law graduates may not become judges, but they are certainly a part of the judiciary.

When the family of 200 stated in a Nation article (which was deleted asap) that they need only 10% of the people to overthrow YS., Anyone with commonsense knew what was comming yet they blew their whistles and the media cheered them on. Yet these same people have turned around as if they where gaurdians of democracy, no appology for their role in the coup. The same can be said of some foreigners on this forum which hated the Shins more than they loced democracy, however now that democracy is lost they have turned around.

'As long as the younger generation continues to question and criticise those in power, we remain hopeful of positive change,' says The Nation.

What a pity that The Nation did not practise what it is now preaching - did not practise it during the first two years of the scandalous Power Grab, but essentially cheered it on ...

Do not agree with your understanding that lawyers are part of the judiciary. While most certainly some lawyers are appointed or have become members of the judiciary, for example most judges are qualified lawyers, I would not include lawyers practicing law in law firms as members of the judiciary. Hence, the vast majority of lawyers are not members of the judiciary.

Semantics.

Lawyers are active participants in the judicial system.

Much like the rampant homosexual that is not much tolerated at his local mosque by either the Imam or the congregation, the young lady with the progressive views in question will be out of place in the "yellow to the core" surroundings her chosen profession has placed her in.

Living in a delusional world of their own creation, now censoring and censuring young people still at school.

wow. who do they think they are? the UK?? Given the fact Europe is now jailing people for daring to criticize immigration on social media along with other PC wrongspeak violations I don't think were in much of a position to be criticizing Thailand.

Ironically these days "progressive views" equal censorship, draconian speech laws and the criminalization of political views that don't line with the PC authoritarian left
