The pro-government Chart Pattana party, which commands three seats in the lower House, is wondering aloud whether it will be given one cabinet portfolio, as promised to the party by the “phuyai” in the Palang Pracharat party.

Party spokeswoman Ms. Yaowapa Boorapolchai told the media on Sunday that the party is still waiting for confirmation of the promised seat from the Palang Pracharat, the core party in the coalition government.

She insisted that the party did not make any demands which could shake the coalition’s stability, adding that the party has been supportive of Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha all along.

You supported a military junta leader who used absolute power to bypass laws and the Constitution.

And NOW you want respect?

Your disappointment goes beyond being fooled by promises.

Maybe it's time to become an opposition party.

A speculative comment about Thai Royalty and reply have been removed.

This translates into no seat for you or your party. In Thai politics it seems you are expected to reach out and take what you want, and if you can't you don't get what you want. Just like Big P reached out and took the country.

Well they were talking about dunny seats, sorry for the misunderstanding

And what are you going to do when ChaCha tells you to go swivel.

Thank you for your support now FO.

All to predictable but when the parties see what they have got in return for supporting the PM they will soon depart and the democratic side of things will kick in and then things will kick off and the PM will be in a new game he has not played before.

And so the NCPO continue to continue. 'Hey, it wasn't our fault, but these politicians...'

There will be no new game. The Thai public have the option of the army and their backers or the army and their backers. Exactly as was intended.

And if the politicians haven't quite grasped that, there is a new army chief chomping at the bit to slaughter his Not Really Thai compatriots.

The only other option short of bloodshed would be for the politicians to unite as one, galvanise the public into insisting the army piss off back to the barracks and call for a general strike until they do so. That's off the table, then. It involves backbone.

And so these warm and kindly Thai people I love so much are screwed. The Thai Juggernaut economy will contine to grow, but will increasingly leave behind the Thai worker unable to make ends meet when confronted with Japanese prices on a Myanmar wage...
