New Passport

Featured Replies

I will be leaving Thailand to Malaysia to get a new passport.

I have three questions to ask when I return back to Thailand.

I understand that I can transfer my Extension of Stay stamp

and Re-Entry (Multiple) stamp to my new passport. And also do

the TM.30 report at the same day.

Which one to tackle first ?

1. Do the TM.30 first ?

2. Or Do the transfer of stamp to my new passport first.

3. Any fee for the stamp transfer and the Re-Entry (Multiple) transfer.

Have to do two forms for both transfer.

Your kind advice is much appreciated. Thanking you all in advance.

1/2 That depends upon the office you go to.

Some offices do not ask for a TM30 to be submitted every time you enter the country.

3. No official fee but some offices have been reported as wanting 500 baht to do it.

Only one form is needed to have your stamps transferred.

Ask your immigration office if you need an embassy letter to transfer the stamps. If so then goto Malaysian Embassy ( S Sathorn Rd, Lumpini MRT or Sala Deang BTS) before 11:30am to submit both passports plus 200B. Collect your passports and the letter in the afternoon on the next business day.
