A touch of Japanese beauty in Bangkok

By The Nation

The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration is to plant 70,000 multi-coloured dwarf zinnia flowers at Suan Rot Fai (Wachirabenchatat) Park to replicate the beauty of the famous flower gardens in the northern Japanese island of Hokkaido.

Arom Wongmaha, director of the Park Management Office in the BMA’s Environment Department, said her staff had already started preparing three rai of parkland for the planting of 20,000 white zinnia, 20,000 red zinnia, 17,000 yellow zinnia and 14,000 pink zinnia.

It is part of Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha’s project to have the BMA improve the appearance of all its parks by adding colourful flowers.

Arom said the flowers would be planted early next month and were expected to last about three months.

Her office would also plant colourful flowers in six other major BMA parks, including King Rama IX Park, Lumpini Park and Queen Sirikit Park, she added.

Copy paste Thailand... never originality!

Planting these flowers are easy. Maintaining their beauty is different thing. That is why Japan and Thailand are different!

Did someone say ‘Japanese beauty’?4B24E023-1211-4638-9352-6C87924336F4.jpeg.0652e3214412e5495e3b33df2cd4a23f.jpeg
