July 2, 20197 yr Could anyone recommend a good hospital for a CT Scan. If you know the price, I would appreciate that information too. Thanks.
July 2, 20197 yr I've used these guys before. I had a doctor referral. Just checked web site, they will accept you without a referral. They were professional and fast and a good place. I can't remember the prices but it was a big difference to the 2 hospitals I received prices from. A friend referred me to them. https://www.mrithailand.com/en/ Edited July 2, 20197 yr by Farangwithaplan
July 2, 20197 yr The above mentioned place has many locations. But t if what you require is CT with contrast this is dangerous to do outside of a hospital. Most large hospitals can do CT.You will of course have to see a doctor first who must order it. Where in Thailand are you, you did not say? Has a doctor in your home country asked you to get a CT? If so what type? With or without contrast? If not how do you know you need one? I see a lot of people getting unnecessary scans here because they self-prescribe them. Sometimes no scan was needed, other times a different type than what was done.
July 2, 20197 yr Price wise I paid 28k with oncologist review for CT of whole abdomen routine with contrast and fleet enema at Vejthani Hospital on March 1 this year.

Concern is for immediate treatment in the event of moderate to severe reaction. The below warm (hot) feeling is something most of us have so not a real concern. But some have more serious issues. Quote Mild reactions include a feeling of warmth, nausea, and vomiting. Generally, these symptoms occur only for a short period of time and do not require treatment.Moderate reactions, including severe vomiting, hives, and swelling, occur in 1% ofpatients receiving contrast media and frequently require treatment.
July 3, 20197 yr Thank you for advising, Sheryl. Is the concern from some unwanted effects from the dye itself or its method of insertion?Concern is allergic reaction to the dye. In a small minority of cases this can be life threatening anaphylaxis. Sent from my SM-J701F using Thailand Forum - Thaivisa mobile app
