July 8, 20196 yr I think glasses in Thailand are always overpriced, better buy this when visiting the family back home. There is a chinese online shops which sells glasses for reasonable prices and which was recommend by several forum members, i forgot the name, but probably somebody else can post the link.

July 8, 20196 yr Author Do have to pay for an eye test in these shops. How much do you have to pay on average For a decent pair. How do they charge. Isn't one price or separate for the lenses and the frames.

My advice, as mentioned above is to use Zenni (once you have/know your prescription).

July 9, 20196 yr woud stay away from the charon optical type places. was quoted 20k baht for progressive lenses, and thats after i purchased an expensive frame there. it was the same price i pay in the states. Edited July 9, 20196 yr by fhickson
July 9, 20196 yr I purchased, online with Zenni Optical, progressive glasses, nice stylish metal frame for less than $100 USD. Just make sure with your script from the optometrist you get your PD (pupilary distance) measurement.Sent from my KFFOWI using Tapatalk
