I work for a government school so get basic government insurance.

What i cannot find out is what it covers.

I have looked into taking out BUPA Blue cross maybe a basic package but not sure if that will give me much more than government cover.

What is the best inusrance cover to take out?

On anothr topic - how long will it take to get my gf a tourist visa to the UK for a two week holiday?

My wife is a Thai school teacher and the gov't ins. covers about everything for her and myself, it pays doctor,hospital and meds, But the only thing is you must use gov't hospitals and pay for prescriptions and the ins. reimburses you for money spent if you are outpatient.

I do not think that you need extra ins.

I know nothing about time taken to get a visa and I would suppose that it is different case to case.
