I use the blue heart to mean I’ve read and considered a comment. I use the smiley emoji when I think the opinion is ridiculous…or funny. I would not be unhappy with more emojis! Often I have difficulty deciding. Perhaps two per customer? Dunno. At least keep the heart-broken. We see a lot of sad stories I wouldn’t give a thumbs-up. Some folks don’t like thumbs-down. Okay, so what other emoji could we use to express disagreement. Hehe, maybe not the middle finger! If a thumbs down hurts your feelings, see a therapist! It’s amazing to me how invested people get in AN conversations—I mean, get a life! I’d sure like to see A LOT less name-calling and bickering. If you can’t express an opinion without calling somebody a liar, don’t comment at all. If you don’t have anything constructive to add STFU! Maybe that’s an emoji we need! Exclamation emoji is a great suggestion!!! I don’t have a “community reputation” (do I?). In notifications, I NEVER look at the reactions, comments and replies only. I think you’d have to be kind of retentive to look at others’ reactions! Sheesh! Who cares?!? Sleeping emoji, maybe for TL:DR would be good. Maybe just put in so many emojis that no one will take the time to choose one! A lot of AN folks had a great time adding every single emoji to the comments in this post. That to me says we like ‘em! Charlie’s going to have fun totting them up! Time, gentleman, time! I don’t do any other social media and I hope my posts contribute to others’ thinking. Maybe not family but you do get to know people by the points of view they express, in a polite and respectful manner. To recap, I’m in favour of adding emojis and attribution: Exclamation point Different thumbs-down STFU Sleeping Who cares Get a life Bart’s butt Off the wall, when we comment, I’d like to see us get back to the place we left off instead of having to page-through to find our place again. Same goes for “Have your say”. We don’t need to go back to the beginning of a post we’ve already read. Which is why we want to comment. I prefer the old way. Just space for comments below every post. And WTF is a ‘reputation score’, anyway??? There’s an ‘ignore’ function?!? Wonder how many folks are ignoring me? (Hehe)
