lelapin
I owned a house in a village in Pattaya in a company name and was a member of the management committee there. I subsequently sold it and purchased another house in the same village but this time in my Thai girlfriends name. I was advised that I could no longer be on the committee unless we married and I would then in effect be the husband of a house owner. Does anyone know if this is Thai law or just the rules from our village.
KittenKong
You asked the same question the other day in the real estate forum. Are you hoping for a different answer? Basically the condo act doesnt apply, there is no "village act", and so the village can do what it wants.

Perhaps ask them if she gives you a POA (the juristic can decide the wording) will that also make it ok and if not why not?
