Thai gf buying "life insurance" for her Dad - a scam?

Featured Replies

Hi,

no reply on the Insurance forum.

Can one buy "life insurance" with just a lump-sum payment? (Or can we stop here and realize that's a scam)

The promised repayment by monthly installments hasn't materialized. And the remaining question is, can one cancel such a policy, if it exists and cash out, even when losing like 70% of the initial investment?

OTOH, if all this has been an elaborate scam, a felony fabrication, would there be fraud according to Thai law?

Or is anything okay as long as a farang gets suckered and no Thai gets harmed?

if you are a farang never buy life cover in thailand always buy from overseas insurance companies via internet from Thailand all here are scams. All are bundeled products with big commisions. Term cover is the way to go if he can get it

You sir, are the insurance policy! ????

Have someone explain the village insurance system to you. ฿2000 a year payed in and a big check handed to the beneficiary on the day of cremation.

The time to worry about this is when she buys insurance on your life.
