August 6, 20197 yr My on-demand water heater needs replacement. It heats water for one bathtub/shower and the bathroom tap and is located under the sink. My landlord told me to buy a good one and deduct it from the rent and that it should cost around 7000 baht. The condo technicians will install it. Any suggestions for brand and model? I like very hot baths. Thanks! Edited August 6, 20197 yr by ricklev

August 6, 20197 yr We have one of these, 6,990 Baht for the 6kW unit (there's an 8kW version too). http://mazuma.co.th/shop/water-heater/multi-point-water-heater/power-stream-plus-2-6-0-kw/ But, you must ensure your wiring is up to it, 4mm2 for the 6kW, 6mm2 for the 8kW version. August 6, 20197 yr Do we need a separate ground rod for water heater or is connecting to the regular house one OK. Edited August 6, 20197 yr by VocalNeal

If your main rod is correctly connected to your board then use it. A local rod for the heater is always a work around for no connection back to the board. "I don't want to know why you can't. Thanks! I was in Homepro buying the 6000 watt version of this before I saw your post. https://www.stiebeleltronasia.com/index.php?op=product-detail&id=35 It ought to work well enough I guess. I only bought it because it wasn't a Thai brand. The highly skilled and safety conscious condo technicians are installing it. ????
