webfact
Justice Ministry to probe rented EM ankle bracelets from China Thailand’s Justice Ministry is to investigate the electronic monitoring (EM) ankle bracelets rented by the Department of Probation from a Chinese company. This follows a complaint from a Thai firm that the device can be removed by the paroled offenders without the department being electronically alerted. The complaint was filed by Mr. Aekkaphol Kongphutorn, representative of Fort Corporation, one of the bidders for a contract to rent EM ankle bracelets to the Department of Probation. The complaint has already been received by Justice Permanent Secretary Thawatchai Thaikieu and Mr. Thanakrit Chit-areerat, an advisor to Justice Minister Somsak Thepsuthin. Thanakrit said that the justice minister had already acknowledged the complaint and a probe will be launched to look into the terms of reference for the contract bidding process to determine whether the rented devices match the TOR. Bert got kinky
The type of ankle bracelet that you get given is dependent on your crime. For example: Crime: Slam into a cop in your Ferrari and drag him over 100 meters along the road. Result: Cheap Chinese ankle bracelet. Crime: Rape the country of its cash reserves, have any opponents executed (under the cover of a war on drugs), continue to rob the country blind (using a puppet government) and totally crap all over the poor people that you had promised to serve. Result: Matching cheap Chinese ankle bracelets (for both brother & sister). Crime: Picking wild mushrooms without enough money to pay a bribe. Result: Full on German made high security ankle bracelet (welded on) with a 2 meter range.

Dear Farangs, we listened to your petition to abandon TM30. As commitment to high tech Thailand 4.0 effectively immediately we now replace TM30 with TM666. Please pick up your ankle device from your friendly immigration within the next 55 hours.
