Last month obtained a multi entry non immigrant O visa based on marriage. I understand that I may apply for a work permit on this visa, my question is, if the work permit is approved, will the duration of the work permit be for only 3 months (up till the next entry permitted stamp) and will I then need to apply again or, will it be valid for the duration of the visa?

Normally you will get a One Year work permit.

The work permit will be for 1 year. It is not connected to your permission to stay as a spouse.
