Immigration at U-Tapao Airport

Featured Replies

I've searched the Forums but I couldn't find any reports of problems or denied entries at U-Tapao. I know this is a smaller airport with limited traffic. Does anyone have any additional information about this airport crossing?

Thanks.

I don't recall any reports of anybody having problems on entry to the country there.

Remember that the very most international flights to/from UTP are to China and Russia.

I might be wrong but the only relevant destination for most members here is Kuala Lumpur.

So not a surprise that little information can be found here.

Yes, there are Air Asia direct flights from Kuala Lumpur into UTP. I'm trying to determine if it is a "safe" entry point in the current climate.

I guess worse case scenario you're detained in UTP, sent back to Kuala Lumpur, and then can attempt a southern border crossing.

I don't think you will have a problem at Utapao when you enter the country there.

Thank you Joe.

I've been reading Thai visa for around 5 years, but I only started posting recently. I've never had a need to post before. Of all the posters here, I respect your posts the most.

Thomas.
