Get a new passport, what's next?

Recommended Posts

So this is the situation:

- Passport is full, I hve multiple entry NON O Visa that is already expired but I'm stamped until the 13th of September

- On the 9th of September I've got appointment to get the new passport at my embassy, they will release the passport on sight

It is OK to just go to Mukdahan and cross the border showing OLD passport and stamp the NEW one to go to Sawannakhet and get a new visa or I need to go to some immigration office to do some extra stuff?

Thanks in advance.

You do not need to do a stamp transfer at immigration since you only have a entry from a visa. You will show both passports on departure from the country and they will transfer your entry stamp from you old passport to the new one and stamp you out of the country in it.

You're my hero Ubonjoe!

Did just this a two months ago. Save time queuing for immigration booth as they will only tell you to go to office. Go straight to the office on left hand side of booths. Show both passports they will do the transfer and stamp you out.

This in Mukdahan?
