March 19, 200719 yr ....For some reason the Muang Thong hotel springs to mind, you wouldn't believe the dogs I've taken there... Seriously: In general, smaller, low-rise hotels and many guesthouses don't mind if you bring a dog. I never had a problem finding dog friendly accommodation when I travelled with a dog. Basically the least suitable are big high-rise tourist class hotels; anything else and just ask before booking. One thing though, which I never realized until some weird foreign lady made it an issue: Some people insist on having the dog actually join inside in the guest room... . . . That I think that would greatly reduce your chances. For me I usually had the dog outside somewhere, even better if the hotel had some garden or sheltered area, or a porch in case of a resort/motel. Usually there's some security guy around as well to keep an eye on it. I found it actually remarkable how many of those people really liked dogs, and I do mean in a good way. Cheers, Chanchao
March 19, 200719 yr When I'm too embarrased by my "dog" to have her seen by the front desk staff where I live or too lazy to walk from Loi Kroh Road, I use the 100 baht rooms at the Muang Thong myself. A neighborhood institution.
