How many extensions possible ?

Featured Replies

A friend arrived Visa Exempt from The Philippines Sept. 3. He has now got a 30 day extension until Oct. 2. Will he be able to get another 30 day extension ?

No, only one per entry.

No.

The most extra time he could get would be 7 days (1,900 baht) to leave the country.

1 extension per visa.

So you MUST stamp out of Thailand and stamp back in if you want to get another 30 day extension.

So more accurately, 1 extension per entry.

In other words, if he is eligible, he would need to leave the country and then return visa exempt or with tourist visa, either of which would allow him to apply for a 30 day extension near the end of the permission to stay obtained when entering the country.
