Hi
I am too lazy to go to Vientiane to get my Non-O based on Thai child. Kota Bharu is so close to my home in Suratthani.
I recently get a new passport. My old passport had 8 years of Back-to-Back Thai entries with different types of Thai Visas or Visa exempts.

1) Do I have any chances to get a SETV in Kota Bharu with my new passport without any visas in it?
2) Is it necessary to show rental agreement or something like that?
3) Looks like it is not necessary to book an appointment. Am I right?

You could get a single entry non-o visa based upon being the parent of a Thai in Kota Bharu. For a single entry you would likely need to show the equivalent of 200k baht in a bank.

1. With a new passport there should not be a problem.

2. Yes you will need to proof of accommodations.

3. No appointment is needed.

Joe is correct. I was there a few weeks ago for my Non O multiple entry. I needed bank statements showing the equivalent of 400,000 baht.

Sounds great!!! Thank you. I will buy an air ticket from Thailand to Laos. Is it enough for SETV ? Or I must also show an air ticket from Malaysia to Thailand. That is a problem because it is much cheaper to take a bus from Kota Bharu to Thailand border.

I don't think Kota Bahru is asking for a ticket out of the country.

It could be a one way ticket to anywhere if needed.
