Legal Advice - Severance Pay And Bonus

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I've been working for a company for the last two years. My 2nd year contract will finish in September. The company wanted to renew the contract for the 3rd year but they are not giving raise as I asked them. They are saying that client is not increasing billing rate. For that reason, I have refused to sign a new contract and now I don't know if there will be extension or not. My question is that in case they let me go after September, will I be eligible for severance pay?

They wanted to extend, you denied and your contract expires at the end of September.

Why the hell would they give you severance? Your contract is finishing and you chose not to accept the new one. They are not letting you go, you contract is over.
