Bangkok Car Free Day 2019 on September 22 aims to encourage people to use the public transportation system in order to reduce traffic congestion and air pollution.

MRT passengers with folding bicycles can travel on their Blue Line and Purple Line for free on September 22 by picking up coupons at the ticket office of all stations.

The campaign is an effort of the Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRTA), along with Bangkok Expressway and Metro Public Company Limited (BEM).

For further information, contact the BEM Information Centre at 02-624-5200.
