It is a little know fact that during the Second World War (WW2) that a few German pilots escape from the Nazi reguime and became pilots for the Allied forces. One of these pilots was Otto von Schickelgruber and was awarded several medals for bravery and the distinction of being an Ace Pilot. On his 70th birthday he was interviewed on Television and the presenter asked him what his most frightening experience was during the war.

Otto thought for a moment and said "It must av bin in neunteen vorty two ven I was flying my Spitzfeyer on patrol across German territory. Suddenly bullets flew past me and I looked into zee mirror and there was a focker on my tail. I pulled my spitzfeyer into zee barrel roll and still the focker was on my tail. I banked sharp and suddenly I saw another focker heading towards me" The presenter suddenly jumped in and interuped Otto saying "ladies and gentlement the focker was a German Fighter plane the Focker Wulf FW150" "Ja ja" said Otto "but these fockers were in Meschershmitts!"

Thanks Dr Naam - my Uncle who was a Australian pilot during the war told me that one many years ago. He had a great sense of humour and honour. I am trying to dredge out from teh dim dark recesses of my memory some of the jokes he told me as a kid. The was the one who told me about the young lad who went to the Chiropodist that I posted a while back.
