Haze in Yala improves after overnight rain

Heavy rain overnight in Yala on Tuesday improved the air quality and helped the residents breathe easier after pollution levels rose dramatically in the southern province as a result of the smog caused by forest fires burning in Indonesia since early this month.

Family Mart at Suvarnabhumi to shut its doors

The Family Mart branch at Suvarnabhumi airport will cease business on Friday (September 27), after its operator, Central Family Mart Co. Ltd and the Airports of Thailand Public Company Limited (AOT) were unable to reach agreement on an extension of the store’s contract.

Permits for 2 Yi Peng events revoked over airport’s flight safety concerns

Male model Rachadech “Nam Oon” Wongthabutr has been brought into police custody under a court-issued arrest warrant over three criminal charges in relation to the death last week of a 25-year-old “pretties” model widely referred to by her nickname “Lunlabelle”.

Air unsafe for ‘sensitive’ people in Bang Phlat, Bangkok

BEIJING (Reuters) - The first commercial flights from Beijing's new Daxing International airport took off on Wednesday - an airport that cost $63 billion (50.7 billion pounds) to build, is roughly the size of 100 football fields and is expected to become one of the world's busiest.

MoU kicks off move to tidy up telecom cables

Thais third most travelled, Agoda survey finds
