Hello everyone this is my first post. I came back from HH a couple of days ago. My wife is the house owner so she, my granddaughter and myself went to the immigration office in Pathum Thani to do the TM 30.

I waited in the waiting hall while my wife went inside the office with all papers prepared. 

Soon she came back and ask me for 60! Baht cash. I gave her 100 Baht and ask what the money would be for. She was nervous and no answer to me. 5 Minutes later she came out of the office with the blue registration form. I asked her for  the change and what the money was for. She said the IO insisted that that is the fee for the paper work and no! change was given back. I went together with my wife and the granddaughter back into the busy office room to ask for clarification. The IO looked up to us opened her drawer took out the 100 Baht bill mumbled something and made a rude hand gesture towards us what made us leave without asking anything. 

I remember before there was a sign no tips please.
