rooster59
"Eat, shop, spend" - then "Crash" your car into a palm tree! Image: Thai Rath Thai Rath reported that a 50 year old Thai woman drove from Nakhon Sawan to Chainat to take advantage of the government's 1,000 baht "Eat, Shop, Spend" scheme. But the trip ended up costing her more than she got in the economic stimulus package. The woman - who understandably did not want to be named - had dropped in at the Thai Military Bank on Wongto Road. Getting back into her Nissan she put it in the wrong gear and reversed at speed across the main road into the central reservation ending up wedged between a palm tree and the tarmac. The lady acknowledged that the 1,000 baht handout was not sufficient to pay for the damage to the car that was not insured. But she admitted it was all her own fault - though she said that the brakes didn't seem to work.
