matador007 Posted October 12, 2019 Posted October 12, 2019 Hi, Been looking on usual places Lazada, Ali, etc.. for Busbar's, but no luck. https://www.amazon.com/MidNite-Solar-MNSBB-R-Busbar/dp/B00A6XHIDI https://www.amazon.com/MidNite-Solar-Busbar-MNTBB-B/dp/B00BSYSJJ6 To support up to 150-200V and 100-200A and 2-4 AWG. Also Copper Ground(ing) busbar -- with 1/4" holes or so. Thanks.
Crossy Posted October 12, 2019 Posted October 12, 2019 Try searching AliExpress for "neutral bar" and "earth bar" all sorts of stuff there with various mounting options. 1
Crossy Posted October 14, 2019 Posted October 14, 2019 I also found these https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000161573785.html Or these good for 200A https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32946409962.html

But I'm thinkin 4AWG is going to have a tough one fitting through those holes. And when they write 220V I'm skeptical it will handle DC 200V and high amps. Should I be concerned ? Thanks.
Crossy Posted October 14, 2019 Posted October 14, 2019 4AWG is about 21mm2 so any terminal good for 25mm2 or bigger should be fine (in reality it will probably fit a 16mm2 hole). The green one I linked to can only handle 6mm2 (6 holes) plus the big bolt-on terminals. The blue ones have bigger terminals. This seller https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32923956660.html shows the same item but details the available hole sizes. The rating of 220V is for AC which has a peak voltage of 350V so 200V DC should be fine. Without knowing your exact application it's difficult to be precise. You may be better getting some fat copper strip and fabricating something, bolts and crimp terminals will be your friends. For 200V any of the normal engineering plastics will be fine for insulation, stick it in one of the plastic boxes with a screw on lid and you're good. By the way, 200V DC is not something to be trifled with, particularly at 200A. It's perfectly capable of killing you just as dead as getting hold of the 220V AC mains supply. Please take care. 1

Thanks again. The blue ones 250A+ look nice. Seems like a different way to do same thing as a busbar, and maybe safer with all the plastic protection. Its a solar application, and of course have breakers and things so will be safe. I've already done this on other side of Ocean, just a couple things harder to source here, especially in smaller quantities. Like the TLUGs want a min. order of 100 for the Terminal Ends and I might need 8 if I'm lucky for making 4AWG ground and battery connections. Easily got 10/20/30 smaller quantities in lugs from my wholesale supplier on "other side". Thanks again Crossy, the blue one should do the job.
Crossy Posted October 15, 2019 Posted October 15, 2019 No problem. Your local electrical specialist should be able to do lugs / crimps in small quantities, MegaHome near Rangsit do bags of 10 up to 35mm2 size. You should be able to get the relevant tool from the same place if you don't already have one. You need to start thinking in metric sizes here, asking for 4AWG or whatever will just draw blank looks I'm afraid. 1
