Hi all,

I'm looking to put together a "kit" of standard programs on a USB drive that I can take with me when I go to family/friends/clients places, to cover the majority of problems I would be likely to come across on a typical unmaintained computer

So far I've got:

Avast

Ccleaner

Cwshredder

Adaware

Spybot

AVG

Zonealarm

Firefox

and Memtest86+ on a bootable CD

any other suggestions/comments?

Avira Antivir, a free AV that has tested at the top of the rankings lately.

Advanced Windows Care, cleans registry, spyware, startup programs, old files, and tweaks Windows for optimal performance.

Nothing beats a well setup boot CD, as it can be booted on 99% of the systems out there, when you are locked out.

The CD above contains almost all the tools you'll ever need, and it has Antivir (which is great)

Another great tool to add to the collection should be "Dial-A-Fix".

The most usefull feature (among others), is it scans the registry automatically,for all those known regtweaks that malware uses to disable your

windows, and removes them.

There's been a series of Hacked by Godzilla viruses doing the rounds. It shows up with a variety of "Hacked by ......." names.
