Ruk Siam News reported that police in Pattaya suspect that a 38 year old South Korean is behind the savage stabbing of a compatriot.

Twenty eight year old Park Jinhyung was found with 17 stab wounds next to his white BMW x5 in a secluded lane off Khao Talo.

He is in a coma at Chonburi Hospital after losing a lot of blood. The media said he had been able to only give a few details about the attack.

Police said last night that the victim had been at a nightclub then drove and met a person or people in South Pattaya.

The evidence provided by witnesses and CCTV indicates that the assailant is a man also called Park, a 38 year old South Korean.

He is thought to be trying to flee abroad - all ports of exit are being watched and CCTV heading towards them is being examined.

Nong Prue police and the Pattaya Tourist police are leading the investigation and applying for the necessary warrants.

I hope this doesn't spur on the interior ministry to push through GPS tracking.

Which just goes to show how useless TM30 is. Criminals will be the ones who are NOT on it.

Not a good idea.  Laos is land locked.  You lose one of your exit possibilities. (water / ship)
