I have seen nothing stating that Chaeng Wattana immigration will be closed those days.

I have seen nothing about the 1st being a holiday for government workers.

Perhaps some schools will be closed because of their location due to possible road closures.

I read in the Bangkok Post  (I believe)  that all government offices and schools in Bangkok and another providence just north of Bangkok where the conference is being held will be closed from the 4 to the 5 of November.  I would check it out.  Call there hotline number.

I read something this morning that indicated it will be up to each Gov't agency as to whether they will close - but, unfortunately, I don't have the link.

Why? Are these public  holidays? Whats' the reason for closure?

We have been told that Immigration at Nonthaburi and Chaengwattana will be closed on 4 and 5 November due to the ASEAN meeting.  Unfortunately I don't have the link.

Nov 4 and 5 have been declared extra holidays for Bangkok and Nonthaburi.

But the wording in the news left some room for interpretation how particular offices could still be open for service.

CW Immigration are closed on 4 and 5, i called and check earlier today.

Wonderful. I arrive on 4th so will need to go to CW on 6th to file TM30. Any tips on timing for avoiding waiting all day please?

School in our village has been off for 3 weeks already...  maybe some school break. I’ve asked 4 people that I thought would know

where i could find the local schools holiday. It seems their off school more than at school

2 extra holidays Bangkok area.. oh thee old what traffic problems.

China clears the route for VIP and just zoom through.. others times

no zooming.. but ample time to make a pit stop and not loose you

space in line...

In case it's helpful to someone, I've been told that banks (+ their branches) will be operating as usual on 4th and 5th.

If you have already set up TM30 reporting on your smart phone using the Section38 App. and have a User Name and password then no need to go to CW. I do mine using the TM30 reporting App.

It is only a holiday for government employees in Bangkok and Nonthaburi.

Businesses, companies and banks will be working.
